Last year we found out our daughter had autism at 2.5 years, as a parent you want to do everything you can to help. With no support or direction from our GP or consultant we decided to look for help ourselves. A speech therapist mentioned that we should meet a DAN Nutritionist called Jonathan Tommey and that he may be able to help us.
Jonathan gave us a biomedical protocol to follow. We changed our daughter's diet to gluten free and dairy free and continued down the biomedical route and started to notice a marked improvement in her speech, understanding and eye contact within months. We have continued to follow the protocol and a year has now passed. Our daughter is a completely different girl , she is happy , engaging and loves other peoples company. Well on the way to RECOVERY. She doesn't stand out from her peers anymore and will attend a mainstream school. We still have some way to go but really believe that there is hope out there. Without Jonathan's guidance, support and knowledge of nutrition our daughter would not be the child she is today. We are so lucky to have found out about biomedical intervention, without it, we truly believe that we still would have an autistic child.
There is hope for our children, and recovery is definitely possible,
Bill
Dear Jon,
Thanks for your time to talked to me over the phone. And I am delighted to report to you about Terry's progress under your care.
Since we started the biomedical and the homeopathy treatment there are a lot of changes with our son that we've notice for the last 5 months of taking his supplements.
He is more settled at home and at school, he is more cooperative and focus on what he is doing especially of his interest at school, he is more happy and confident.
His eye contact has been more improve and he always looking at us and pay attention when we speak to him, though he still have tantrums but its only for a short time and he is easily to divert his attention if he's upset.
He understand us now most of the time everytime we speak to him.
He is now starting to like us to read a story book everytime he goes to bed and he shout the words if he knows to read it unlike before he doesnt show any likeness to any books,
he is not interested to hear even a short story but now he's the one who initiate us to read with him.
Before he always says no to every questions that we ask him,now he understand us what we ask and if he likes it he'll say yes.
He can brush his teeth by himself just to remind him to do so but there are times
if he's in the mood he is the one who will going to do his routine at home. His hands flapping seems to lessen now, he sleeps well during the night.
and just recently for about 1 month ago everytime we go to school he walks now by himself straight to his classroom,
unlike before as he step out of the car he always wanted to carry and seems to be unsettled when we're about to leave him at school but now he is always happy put his bag and his
coat on his designated peg and he'll give me a kiss and wave goodbye.
He eats now a variety of foods, I am so happy that I have no problem with him giving his supplemments as long as it is with the blended fruits.
We are still looking forward for more as he is taking all this supplements that we knew it will going to help Terry to reach his full potential and hoping to recover from his autism.
We're glad that we found you from the Autism File magazine. Thank you and have a safe trip.
Kind Regards,
Elena
Keavy started taking her supplements two and a half weeks ago and already we are seeing improvements. She is talking more and asking a lot more questions. These are some examples of the questions she is asking. What makes the water in the kettle bubble? Why don't animals wear clothes? Why am I autistic? Does my friend Clare know I have autism? When did I become autistic?
Keavy also has more energy and enjoys playing with her friend more than she used too.
Her hair is much softer, it used to be dry and brittle.

Nutritional and behavioral intervention have been the two columns holding my son's Olmo amazing progress. Soon after they began, the change in Olmo was instantaneous: the bird flew out of the cage, a bird curious to explore the universe.
Thank you Jonathan.

The biomedical treatments (supplements and high quality nutrition) have made a significant impact on my child's health. previously prone to recurrent chesty coughs, catarrh, and endless colds, he is now a healthy child generally. His immune system seems stronger and better targeted.
My son has developed so well over the past 4-5 years it seems like another world where we came from. There is much more work to be done, but among the range of treatments we have in place for him, one which I credit with significant positive impact is the biomedical interventions we have made through the Autism Clinic. Sound advice and a well targeted protocol has contributed hugely to his progress.
It is not cheap to implement the supplement protocol as some of the tests and supplements are very expensive and we seem to get through them at a fast rate, but it is worthwhile to do as much as you can afford.
The dietary changes went more smoothly than I imagined they would. We are not perfect (not totally organic, still some sugar and salt etc) but we have made radical changes to diet and I would never ever go back on these, even if he did not have the difficulties. Talking with Jonathan has opened my eyes to a better understanding of food and nutrition quality, and our whole family is better off for that.

Since starting bio-medical interventions my son's body has begun to heal.
He is more able to tolerate a greater variety of foods. His 'stims' have
decreased and we have seen an increase in awareness of others. My son is
more 'with us' than without! His belly is no longer distended. His stools
are now normal and he no longer drapes his body over the arms of sofas to
ease the pain his guts used to give him. We will continue to use
Bio-medical interventions under the guidance of Jonathan Tommey until we
have restored my son's health.

Within a couple of weeks of starting the diet we noticed an improvement in the number and severity of Elliot's tantrums and anxiety attacks. His eye contact also improved within the first month or so. He started to get a tan in the sun, and the "chicken skin" bumps on the back of his upper arms were reduced to almost nothing in three months. It was then that we started to notice subtle but remarkable improvements in Elliot's conversation and language skills. He was understanding other people much better, and became mindful of context and waiting his turn in conversations. Even humour started to emerge in Elliot; he can find things funny and make ridiculous puns! It's been very encouraging for us to see Elliot's character emerging and also to feel that we are taking control and doing something to improve his condition.

Our 11 year old son, Glenn, has been under a biomedical intervention programme with Jonathan Tommey at the Autism Clinic for 5 months now.
Having tried many different treatments over the years, we would highly recommend any parent to put their trust in Jonathan.
As a parent himself of a child with autism, Jon has a unique insight into and feeling for what it is like caring for our special children, and he is so passionate about helping them.
Jonathan is extremely approachable and personable.
Glenn is now a different child. He was so aggressive and angry. His days were filled with anxiery.
For the first time in years, we have had a wonderful summer, with our son being so much more relaxed and accepting of change.
Glenn communicates more with us, he is much less anxious and, above all, very happy.
One has to accept making changes and some sacrifices when beginning biomedical intervention, but as far as we are concerned, looking at our child now, they are well worth it and Jonathan's guidance along the way is invaluable.
